Jeffrey Reardon

REARDON, Jeffrey Francis, 44, of Lutz, FL, passed away February 7, 2018. He was born in Washington, DC and was a resident of Lutz, FL. Jeff attended Montreat College in NC and earned a BA in English Communications. He most recently graduated from FSU with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Jeff was a long-time employee of UnitedHealth Group, most recently serving as Vice President, Specialty Products and Development. Jeff was recognized as a dedicated, creative and passionate leader. His great humor, infectious energy and tireless drive resulted in Jeff developing many close personal relationships with colleagues across the country. Jeff had a special gift for always finding the joy in life. He was well known for his belly laughs and quick dry wit. Jeff passed his love of Sour Patch Kids on to his sons (but only the red ones!) as well as a lifelong obsession with Marvel & DC comics. He also enjoyed being “at one” in the pit with Dave Matthews and was a wholehearted believer in “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” with his best buddy Jaron. Jeff was a man of contrasts. He was a highly-educated master of technology whose pockets and backpacks were always overflowing with life’s “little necessities.” Jeff was a Gordon Ramsey fan whose family enthusiastically crowned him “King of the Kitchen"!Happy memories were created around the kitchen table as Jeff perfected his culinary skills. He was an unapologetic hotel snob who refused to lay his head on anything other than a Marriott pillow. Jeff had an unwavering bond with his mother and deep connection with siblings. Jeff will be deeply missed by all those that had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert John Reardon; his brother, David Reardon. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Jennifer Reardon; two sons, Carter and Cole Reardon; mother, Dorothy Reardon; father in law, Ted Blommel and wife, Birgit; three brothers, Robert Reardon and his wife, Kim, Daniel Reardon and wife, Tina and Christopher Reardon and wife, Luz; three sisters, Denise Sevigny and husband, Jim, Natasha Sapienza and husband, Mark and Dottie Ballagh and husband, Ben; many nieces and nephews, along with 22 half-empty bottles of Aquafina and innumerable pocket hand sanitizers. Visitation will take place at 1:00PM on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Loyless Funeral Home followed by a memorial service beginning at 2:00PM. Friends are welcome to gather at the Reardon Residence immediately following the service.
