Jeffrey Steven Stark, 63, of Tampa, Fl. passed away on October 19, 2013. A Memorial Service with Military Honors is scheduled for 10 am Thursday, October 24th at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Those planning to attend should be at the Bay Pines National Cemetery Office at 9:30 am. He was born on August 11, 1950 in Buffalo, New York to George and Carol Stark. He moved with his family to Oswego, N.Y. and considered that his hometown. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Albany. He also received a Bachelor's of Architecture degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Syracuse University. At SU he was valedictorian of his class and received the AIA Gold Medal for Academic Excellence. Jeff was an accomplished architect, with projects in Houston, New Orleans, Boston, Miami, Tampa and Florence, Italy. He took great pride in being an architect. His architectural work won many design awards including the AIA Houston Chapter Design Award , American Concrete Institute Award, Boston Society of Architects Design Award , AIA Tampa Bay Chapter Design Award and Hillsborough County Planning Commission Community Design Award of Excellence. He is survived by his brother Kevin and sister-in-law Barbara of Hickory, North Carolina and sister Pat and brother-in-law Dave Roland of Oswego, New York, nieces: Tessa Roland Connelly and husband Drew of Lewiston, New York, Brooke Roland-Ritter and husband David of Baldwinsville, N.Y. , Shannon Stark Taylor and husband Bryan of Phoenix, Az., Lauren Stark of Chicago, IL and nephew Derek Roland of Oswego, New York. Jeff loved Tampa, people, travel, Italy, art and anything related to design. He had a keen sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He recently wrote a suspense/thriller titled "The Florence Factor". David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
