Jeffrey M. Whitehouse
April 1st, 1961 - May 5th, 2019
Jeffrey M. Whitehouse, age 58, of Gloversville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, 2019. He was born April 1, 1961 in Gloversville, the son of Gary Whitehouse and Rosalind Bornt Whitehouse. He was a 1979 graduate of Gloversville High School. Jeff joined the the United States Army where he proudly served from 1980 to 1983 in the Berlin Brigade in Germany, where he met the Love of his Life, Susanne. They were married in Germany on September 24, 1982. Jeff worked in building construction for many and was later employed as a truck driver for twenty years, lastly by the Gorman Group of Rotterdam. Jeff loved animals. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Johnstown. He was also a member of the Royal Mountain Moonlighters, National Rifle Association, Pine Tree Rifle Club, Ephratah Rod and Gun Club, Broadalbin American Legion Post #337 and the National Parachute Association. He accomplished 300 jumps and loved every minute of it. Jeff also enjoyed four-wheeling in Stratford, camping and motorcycling with his family and friends, especially with his brother Jim "Bro". Jeff is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susanne Whitehouse; his mother, Rosalind Aquilla; a brother, James Bornt (Georgette), all of Gloversville, and a sister, Margaret Resnick (David) of Lycoming, NY. Also surviving are a niece and a nephew, Erin Gilmore and Benjamin Gilmore. Jeff also leaves behind his beloved animals, Molly, Gray and Archie. In addition to his father, Gary Whitehouse, Jeff was predeceased by his grandfather, Ronald Bornt; his grandmother, Nettie Dickenson and her husband Marvin Dickenson; and his grandmother, Rosalie Piecuch. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4pm Sunday, May 19 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1 W. Montgomery St; Johnstown, where a Memorial Service will follow at 4pm with the Rev. L. David Almleaf officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Regional Animal Shelter of Gloversville and Fulton County, P.O. Box 1274, Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
