She was formally a member of the St. Pete Yacht Club, and the St. Pete Sail and Power Squadron. She is survived by her spouse of 33 years, Richard Haertel, St. Petersburg, FL;daughter, Rene Haertel-Eva; son,Eric Haertel; twin brother, Christ Nelson.
