Jennie V. Martin was born November 29, 1915, in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Joseph and Mary Faletti. She was the second of six children. In 1925, the Faletti family moved to Antioch, California. Jennie graduated from Antioch High School in 1933. She moved to Pocatello, Idaho and worked as a civilian payroll auditor at the Naval Ordinance Plant during WWII. In 1945 she met Roy F. Martin and they married on May 15, 1946. At that time, Roy and Jennie moved to Caldwell, Idaho. In 1953 they had their son Allen Roy Martin and in 1956 they had another son, Terry Kent Martin. During her time in Caldwell, Idaho, Jennie worked at Miller Hardware, Becker Hardware, Idaho Department Store and J.C. Penny. In 1972 Jennie went to work for Notus School District as lunch bookkeeper until she retired in 1998. Jennie is preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Martin, her sisters Lucy Fenolio and Mary Lautenslager, both of Antioch, California, brothers John Faletti of Caldwell, Idaho and David Faletti of Antioch, California, her sister-in-law Winona Faletti of Caldwell, Idaho, and brother-in-laws Joseph Fenolio and William Lautenslager , both of Antioch, California. She is survived by her son Allen (Meliah) Martin of Caldwell, Idaho and son Terry Martin of San Jacinto, California, granddaughter Janine (Rob) Blank of Boise, Idaho, grandson Chad (Ashley) Martin of Adrian, Oregon and three great grandchildren, Brody Blank, Colby Blank and Paisley Martin. In addition she is survived by her brother Joseph Faletti Jr., sister-in-law Anita “Bunny” Faletti and Charlotte Faletti all of Antioch, California, 17 Nephews and 7 nieces. Jennie was a wonderful, spirited person who in her nearly 96 years was a treasured and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. Service Information
