Jennifer Lee Ortega

After a 3-year battle with Cancer, our strong, courageous and beautiful Jennifer Lee Ortega, age 35, passed away at her home in Cerro NM on June 10, 2018. Jennifer touched the lives of numerous family and friends with the love, laughter, strength and most of all her Faith that she shared with so many. Jennifer was born on October 25, 1982 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Allan D. Vigil and Julie M. Archuleta. She attended Questa Elementary and graduated from Questa high school. Jennifer went to NM State and graduated from Luna as a RN (registered nurse). Jennifer worked at Holy Cross Hospital for 8 years. On July 4, 2015 she married her husband Robert Ortega Jr. During her time at Holy Cross Hospital she touched the lives of many of her patients, fellow staff members and countless friends. Preceded in death by Allan D. Vigil (father) and Patsy Ortega (Aunt). Jennifer is survived by her daughter's Aalyiah and Jordyn Martinez, her husband Robert Ortega Jr. and Makayla and Ryan Ortega. She is also survived by Julie Gonzales (mother), Marvin and Betty Archuleta (grandparents), Marcus and Juan Gonzales (brothers).  Aunts and uncles; Christine and Ruben Duran and family; Marvin and Juli Archuleta and family; Mark Ortega and family; the Ortega family, the Rael family and many extended relatives and friends. A Rosary will be held on June 14, 2018 at St. Anthony's Church at 7:00 pm in Questa NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be June 15, 2018 at 10:00 am also at St. Anthony's Church.
