Jerry Adams Jerald Wayne (Jerry) Adams, 63, passed away at home after a brief illness on Monday, August 18, 2014 in Rockledge, Fl. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Debra Touchton Adams, and his brother John Lee Adams (Suzanne) of Tallahassee, Fl. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Doris Adams. Jerry earned a B.S. in Accounting from Florida Technological University (UCF) and a MS in Interdisciplinary Science from Florida Institute of Technology. He served his country as a Hospital Corpsman on the USS Ranger during the Viet Nam War. He was a well regarded employee and colleague in the Nursing and Health Sciences Dept. of Eastern Florida State College in Cocoa. Calling hours will be held Friday ,August 22, 2014 from 4-7 pm with funeral services starting at 7:00 PM at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home 5400 Village Drive Viera, Fl. Interment will be held at Pisgah Cemnetery in Perry, Florida with Military Honors by the United States Navy at a later date.

Debbie, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Jerry and I always remember how kind and patient he was with his Mom - my Aunt Doris and how much he loved and cared for her. He will be missed by many and will hold a special place in heaven for his kindness.

Debra,There really aren't any adequate words to express how sorry I am for Jerry's passing. I have known you both for so long working at the college and had Jerry would never leave the Accounting Dept. without waving and saying hello to me. I know life seems empty right now but in time while we will never understand why, the good memories of your lives together will fill your heart.
