Jerome David Atwood

Jerome David Atwood, 69, died March 29th, 2018 at his home in Scotts Valley surrounded by loved ones. Jerome was born on October 23, 1948 in Oakland, CA to mother, Etheldreda Meegan and father, Elwood Atwood. He graduated from Leigh High School in San Jose in 1967, with a group of friends that all stayed in touch throughout the years. On February 5, 1973, Jerome and his brother Mike Atwood started Atwood Dental Laboratory. On May 10, 1975, in Los Gatos he married Debbie Behnke. They raised two kids, Ryan and Anne Atwood. In 1981 the family moved to Scotts Valley. Jerome had such a passion and eye for landscaping. If he had a vision, he would make it happen and it would be paradise. His other hobby was capturing memories with videos and photography. Jerome always enjoyed all the Monday Night Football parties with his friends. His travels have taken him all around Europe and the United States including many vacations to Hawaii. Lake Como was a place he talked often about. Jerome is survived by his children, Anne Atwood and Ryan Atwood and partner Lindsay; grandchildren, Brooke, Blake, Bailey (and their mother Jeannie), Tanner, Jade and Tristan “Tristy”; his brother, Mike Atwood and sister, Nita LaRock and her husband Steve and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held for Jerome on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at the Scotts Valley Hilton, 6001 La Madrona Drive, Santa Cruz from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.
