Jerome Wang Esteban was born November 6, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii and passed away January 23, 2020 in Portland, Oregon. He is survived by: Wife - Chong Yi Esteban Stepsons - Brian & James Smith Parents - Dominador & Lily Wang Esteban Siblings - Cyrus Esteban, Christine Keppler & Laverne Richardson Jerome graduated from McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1979. He excelled at playing the clarinet in concert band and also started getting into computers. He was the piano player at Manoa Valley Theatre for multiple productions. As a young man he was an audiophile, loved music and computers. He founded and chaired the Hawaii Chapter of the National Programmers Association. He worked on some of the first computer systems for the Bank of Hawaii and the HMSA Hawaii Medical Service Association. In 1996 he met his future wife Chong Su Yi in Honolulu through a friend and married in 1998. At 38 years of age he put his resume online and was hired by Intel where he worked for 20 years. Jerome loved to play golf which was his passion for many years. Jerome will be truly missed as he loved life and all that was important to him, especially his loving family.
