Jerry is a good friend. I worked with him at OCLC in Dublin, Ohio for many years. He is a smart, fun loving man that loved the Buckeyes and the Cincy Reds. He loved Cat very much! He was easy to talk with and I will miss him very much. I am a better person because I knew Jerry!

Dear Thaman family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened along with you. Jerry and I shared lunch breaks together 3-4 times a week for the better part of 20 years. We rode many long bicycle rides together, attended concerts, played volleyball, and many other activities. I really missed him when he left for Florida and will miss him more now.

Jerry transitioned as my manager shortly before his illness. I already knew him as a super nice person from work and found him easy to work with and genuine. He did not have much time to mentor me at work as he had planned; however, he sure left us a great example of how to fight illness with courage and grace. He is definitely missed at the office and my heart goes out to his family.
