My deepest sympathy to the Thaman Family. So man special memories of growing up on McGuire Street with the Thaman siblings. What a special person we all had in Jerry. One day all the McGuire Street kids will be together again playing kick the can on those streets of gold. Peace and blessings to all. Kimm Blevins Mote

My 2 best friends in high school were Mike Randolph and Jerry Thaman. The time the 3 of us spent together during those years played a large part in forming the man I am today. I'm heartbroken today. Jerry, my friend, you were taken much too soon, rest in peace. My prayers go out to his family.

Jerry transitioned as my manager shortly before his illness. I already knew him as a super nice person from work and found him easy to work with and genuine. He did not have much time to mentor me at work as he had planned; however, he sure left us a great example of how to fight illness with courage and grace. He is definitely missed at the office and my heart goes out to his family.

Many years ago when I was a new hire at OCLC, Jerry was so kind to me. Knowing that I was unfamiliar with details pertaining to some OCLC development initiatives, Jerry helped me connect the dots, even if it meant slowing down the pace of a meeting so that he could impart to me some background information. I'll never forget his generous, supportive demeanor. RIP, Jerry.

My deepest condolences to all of Jerry's friends and family. Jerry's gentle spirit , soft spoken and magnetic smile will forever live in my memory. He was not only a great person to work with, but became a wonderful friend. During Toronto visits, Jerry would always make a point to stop at my desk to say "hello" to me, when he didn't have to, he just would, cause he wanted to! I will never forget Jerry, may his gentle spirit and smile light up in the sky forever! I will miss you Jerry. Your co-worker, your forever friend Rosie Gonzalez (Harris Customer service dept)

Dear Thaman family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am deeply saddened along with you. Jerry and I shared lunch breaks together 3-4 times a week for the better part of 20 years. We rode many long bicycle rides together, attended concerts, played volleyball, and many other activities. I really missed him when he left for Florida and will miss him more now.

Deepest condolences to your wife and family. I had a huge crush on you in ninth grade and I know I wasn't alone. You were always so nice to me, the first guy I had the nerve to call on the phone. I was very shy and not popular in high school but the attention you paid me boosted my self confidence. Even though high school was a lifetime ago, you made an impression on me and I will remember you fondly. Rest in Peace.
