Jerome "Jabbers" Ziarniak
November 21st, 1929 - January 9th, 2012
Jerome Joseph Ziarniak "Jabbers " Of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at his home, while surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the age of 82. Jerome was born on November 21, 1929 in Milwaukee, the son of John and Mary (nee Knitter) Ziarniak. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 and earned the Bronze Star during his service. Jerome married his wife, Carol (nee Conrad) on November 26, 1955. He was a dedicated worker of Wisconsin Electric for 35 years. Jerome loved puzzles, traveling and fishing. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with them. Jerome will be missed dearly by his wife, Carol; his children, John (Elise) Ziarniak of West Bend, Michael Ziarniak of Menomonee Falls and Sue Casper of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Alyssa (Derrick) Bowe, Katy, Kara, Evan, Hannah, Richard, Gabriel, Liv, Delaney and Kirsten (Brian) Schulz; his great- grandchildren, Dominic, Braydon, Brenna, Gracie and Ava; his sisters, Geraldine Stempinski of St. Germain, Joyce Gaulke of Beaver Dam, Barbara (Pete) Majeske of Neosho, Marsha (Don) Czarapata of St. Germain and Patricia Monroe of Flagstaff, AZ; his sister- in-laws, Marilyn Stromski of Franklin and Joyce (David) Goers of Ft. Myers, FL; his special friend, Chuck Taylor; and many loved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Jerome was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Barbara Blair. A visitation for Jerome will be from 9AM until the 11AM funeral service on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the funeral home (see address below). The burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. The family would like to thank the caregivers at ProHealth Home Hospice for their wonderful care given to Jerome and especially his team members, Allison, Barth, Paula and Mike. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
