Jerry Ballard

Jerry Allen Ballard, 79 of Wesley Chapel, passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to Florida in 1990 from Grand Blanc, Michigan where he was an electrician for General Motors and also employed by the IBEW Union of which he was a long time member. Jerry worked for the railroad in Michigan and helped to lay the Alaskan Pipeline as well as Raymond James Stadium. He was also a member of Crosspointe Church in Lutz, ran the Disney Marathon of 26 miles at the age of 52, liked to walk with his wife, enjoyed going to amusements parks and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of over 55 years, Sandy; 2 daughters, Jill (Ron) Walls and Julie (Pua) Yong; his brothers, Bob and Tom (Julie) Ballard; 5 grandchildren, Ashlyn (Travis) Turner, Kenzie (Alex) Turner, Connor Walls, Kyle Yong and Makena Yong. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Nolan Turner and Quinn Turner. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Kyle and Ollie Ballard and his brother, Jim Ballard. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 16 from 3-4 pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd. Land O’ Lakes, Florida 34639 with a service to follow at the funeral home at 4 pm. ** There will be a LIVE STREAMING LINK made available for the service on April 16, 2021 for those who can’t attend and wish to view it remotely. The viewing will be held at Seymour Lake Church from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Directly following there will be a Celebration of Life Service beginning promptly at 1:00 – 2:00 pm. ADDRESS: 350 S.
