Jerry Lee Beck passed away peacefully at his home in Mossyrock, Washington on December 10, 2018. He was born September 30, 1945 in Silver Creek, Washington to Lorraine and Clinton Beck. Jerry was a lifelong Lewis County resident. He attended Mossyrock High School and graduated in 1963. He then went into the U.S. Army where he served for two years, including time spent in the Vietnam War. Jerry worked as a logging truck driver for 22 years and then was a diesel mechanic until he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman. Fishing and hunting were the things in life he loved to do the most. Jerry was a remarkable “fix it” guy. He loved his animals, feeding his birds, and working outside. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Marci White (Brian); step-sons, Mike Abbott, Mark Abbott (Cindy), and Matt Abbott (Sandy); eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his mom and dad; wife of almost 40 years, Lynda; his sisters, Janice Stout and Naomi Morgan; and his son, Brandon. There will be a celebration of life and potluck for Jerry on Friday, December 28, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at the Mossyrock Grange.
