Jerry Bouchillon
September 25th, 1942 - July 10th, 2017
July 10, 2017 - Jerry Lamond Bouchillon, 75, went to his eternal home following a long battle with Parkinson's on Monday. By vocation, he was a Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, entrepreneur and business owner, holding three US Patents. By conviction he lived a life devoted to Christ. He served at the Kingsport City Mission, as a Gideon, a Sunday School Teacher, a Royal Ambassador Leader, and a Prison Minister. A family man, he was also a Boy Scout Troop Leader and President of the PTA. He designed and built furniture almost exclusively out of Walnut. As a graduate of UT, he was a Vol for life. Preceded in death by his father, Cecil Bouchillon; niece, Rosemary Smith. Survived by mother, Anne Bouchillon; Loving wife of 30 years, Merla Bouchillon; his children, Rick, Bill, Clint, Wendi, Andrew, Brandon ,John Mark, Christina; Grandchildren, Lindsey, Bo, Kadison, Bradley and Adam, Orenstein, Kate, Ward, Ian and Alden Bouchillon; siblings, Joan Holt, Sam Bouchillon, Peggy Welch, Greg Bouchillon; along with several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Church Circle, Kingsport. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will immediately follow. A Graveside service will be 11 am on Friday, July 14, 2017 at East Lawn Cemetery with Clint Bouchillon, Andrew Bouchillon, Brandon Bouchillon, John Mark Bouchillon, Chris Holt, Spencer Brasfield, Joshua Holt, and Carter Holt serving as pallbearers. The family would like to send special thanks to honorary pallbearers, Sam Bouchillon, Greg Bouchillon, Mike Holt, Ricky Bouchillon, William Bouchillon, Spencer Gentry, and Bo Bouchillon. The family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions are made to the Wellmont Foundation, c/o Rosemary Smith Cancer Assistance Fund, P.O Box 1069, Kingsport, TN 37662-9908. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Bouchillon family.
