Jerry Ronald Fields

Jerry Ronald Fields, age 75 of Greensboro, NC passed away August 13, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. A funeral service will be held Wednesday August 17, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Fields was born May 16, 1941 in Chatham County, NC to the late Johnnie E. Fields and Ruby Andrews Fields. He worked at Lorillard Tobacco Co. where he retired in Maintenance. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy lastly serving on the U.S.S. Enterprise. Surviving are his wife Nonnie C. Fields of the home, daughter Deborah Lynne Fields of Greensboro, sons Ron Fields and wife Candy of Greensboro, Marcus Daniel Fields of Liberty, NC, sister Dorothy Whitmire and husband Roy of Lexington, NC, brother Garland Fields and wife Brenda of Lexington, NC, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nniecesieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Moses Cone Cancer Center. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Memorials can be made in his name to the American Red Cross: 1501 Yanceyville St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
