Jerry Harrop

Jerry Nolan Harrop, 77, of Greeley, passed away on April 9, 2019 at NCMC in Greeley, Colorado. He was born to Hiram and Clara Bell (Powell) Harrop on September 16, 1941 in Mission, Texas. After graduating from Mission High School in Mission, Texas, Jerry joined the Air Force. Jerry proudly service for 26 years in the US Air Force until retirement. At the time of retirement, he was a Colonel. Jerry received his Bachelor’s Degree from SW Texas State (Texas State) and Master’s Degree from Troy State University. Jerry loved playing golf and being outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He was a fantastic chef and had an art for cooking. Jerry is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Julie (Keith) Christiansen; grandchildren, Lucas (Ashley) Andrews, Justin (Lacey) Andrews, Chad (Sarah) Christiansen and Karlee Christiansen; seven great grandchildren and a very large extended family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeffrey Harrop. Life Celebration Memorial will be held from 1-3 pm, Sunday, at Greeley Country Club, 4500 W 10th Street in Greeley. A graveside service will be held at 1:15 pm, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Fort Logan National Cemetery,3698 South Sheridan, Denver.
