March 11th, 1940 - March 3rd, 2017
Jerry Honeycutt, 76, went home to be with the Lord March 3, 2017. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 6:00PM Monday March 6, 2017 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Pastor Travis Moses officiating. Interment will be, at a later date, in the Veterans National Cemetery in Salisbury. A native of Cabarrus County, Jerry was the son of the late Agnes Mae Preslar and Jessie B. Honeycutt. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by his brother Jessie Honeycutt. He was retired from a forty-plus year career as a Truck Driver. Survivors include his wife Jeanette Honeycutt of the home; daughters Kathy Cox and Bill of Yadkinville, Tammy Taylor and Tony of Whitney, Texas, and Donna Allmon and James of Mt. Pleasant; sons James Smith and Wendy of Kernersville, and Tompall Smith of Hamptonville; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spirit and Truth Worship Center, 685 Jones Road Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27107.
