Jerry Willis Metz

Jerry Willis Metz, age 56, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away on Friday, November 1st, 2013 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services – 7475 Peppermill Parkway Ste. E, North Charleston, SC 29418. Interment Private. Flowers are accepted and are preferred. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Wolford Metz, daughters; Jamie Metz of Moncks Corner, SC, Chrissy and Jayson Hoppock of Summerville, SC. Also included are sisters; Linda Biser of Myrtle Beach, SC, Margie Stottlemyer of Maryland, brothers; Lloyd Metz of Summerville, SC, Calvert Metz of Chambersburg, PA, and Roger Metz of Falling Waters, WV. Also in addition are grandchildren; Taylor Mise, Jayden and Chase Hoppock. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Mr. Metz was born on April 18th, 1957. He was the son of Charles Enoch Metz and Catherine Viola Springer Metz. He spent his life in the construction business and was a mastercraftman. He loved construction, building things, fishing, and deer hunting. Mr. Metz was a proud US Army Veteran and was part of the Army Corp. of engineers.
