Jerry Richard Morris

Jerry was born in Seattle to David and Katherine Morris on May 15, 1948. Jerry was a loving and caring husband to Linda, to his sisters Joanne and Mary, brother-in-law Bob, his sons Jared and Joey, Step-father to Julie, Bruce, Joe, Shayah, Uncle to nieces, nephews, and Step-grandfather. Jerry was a dedicated employee of Sound Oil Company for 32 plus years as an oil service technician, and a member of Local Union 46. His work history included Iron Metal Works, and Boeing. Throughout Jerry's legacy, he enjoyed the outdoors --camping, fishing, motorcycling, especially gardening of flowers and veggies, working on cars and projects at home. Jerry loved music and would tinker with his guitar and keyboard playing music by ear. Jerry was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2005. He proactively made changes to approaching his health. Since 2005 through Fall 2009, Jerry was screened cancer free for the lymphoma. No radiation or chemo. Jerry's self care contributed highly to his well being emotionally, spiritually, and physically. In December of 2009, Jerry experienced symptoms that soon was diagnosed as an aggressive brain tumor (non related to the lymphoma). In January 2010, Jerry's journey changed. Although Jerry was a quiet man --the MESSAGE he exuded spoke in volumes. He was selfless, caring, respectful, dedicated, compassionate, filled with strength and courage --ALL from his heart and soul. Jerry is Gods-kid, a Christian, grounded and affirmed in his faith to God. He embraced this journey by embracing Jesus' hand on March 14. Jerry is so much loved and missed by ALL of us.
