Jesse Daniel Walker passed away on January 10, 2024 at 38 years of age. He was born in Royal Oak, MI on July 11, 1985 and graduated in 2003 from Saline High School in Saline, MI, where he especially enjoyed his time on the Cross Country and track teams. Jesse enjoyed spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, golfing (especially with Grandpa), playing his guitar, cheering for the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan football, taking hikes in the foothills and mountains with his beloved Husky, Lando, and cooking. His tastes in music were quite eclectic, and he was always sharing music finds with his friends and family, usually on Spotify. Jesse was an adventurous, but tender-hearted soul who loved his family and friends with a deep passion, and he was steadfastly loyal to all of them. Jesse was preceded in death by his doting grandmother, Mary Jean (Moriarity) Walker; his uncle, David Walker, and his cousin, Jeff Walker. He is survived by his parents Donald and Coleen Walker; his grandparents, Martin “Skip” (Mary Cummings ) Walker, and Rev. Elvin and Verla Powers; his siblings, Jennifer Walker, Johnathan Walker, Joshua (Danielle) Walker, Jacob (Nicole) Walker, and Joanna (Aaron) Rusch; his nieces and nephews, Olivia Walker, Sawyer Walker, Coraline Walker, and Martin Silas Walker; his aunts and uncles, Martin “Butch” (Ruth) Walker, Bobbie Walker, Joanne (Michael) Mruzek, Merrill (Nancy) Powers, Dale (Kayce) Powers; 16 cousins, and far too many brothers and sisters of the heart to name. For all who knew and loved Jesse: “The pain of missing you is a beautiful reminder of the joy of loving you.”-Dean Jackson

We Entrusted Jesse Walker's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
