Jesselyn Kate Hale, known by her family and friends as Jessi, died June 27, 2019 as the result of an accidental fall from her hotel balcony while on business in Bellevue, WA. She was born July 14, 1990 in Albuquerque, NM to Jeff and Shanna Hale; if you were there, you'd remember the historic rainstorm and city-wide power outage that occurred that day. Jessi was 6'3", but don't say that she's tall, she already knew that. She played basketball, soccer, and volleyball and graduated from Sandia High School in 2008, where she was also involved in Model United Nations and Youth and Government with her favorite teacher and mentor, the late Paige Galvin. She graduated from The University of Colorado in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising Journalism with a minor in Psychology; she was a Dean's Scholar and completed a five-year program in four years. She decided to remain in the Boulder area to live and work; the mountains of Boulder were her favorite place to be. She worked for the Uber Technologies Office in Global Trade Compliance and Logistics Training and Development. She loved hand-lettering and crafting, and especially enjoyed these activities with her favorite crafting buddy, her daughter Delilah. Jessi is survived by her daughter, Delilah, Malakai, Delilah's father, and their entire family in the Boulder area. Her parents, Jeff and Shanna Hale. Her sister, Jacki and husband Brian. Her niece, Audrey. Her grandparents, Connie Hale and Rex and Nan Owen. Aunts and Uncles: Karen, Mark, Philip, Dawn, Brett, and Dana. Cousins: Ryan, Amanda, Cody, Rachel, Kyle, Mary, Matt, David, Jace, and Brena. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Bruce Hale; grandmother, Nancy Hale-Anderson; aunt, Pam. There is an abundance of other extended family members not listed here that were influential in Jessi's life- please know that she loved and adored you all. Thank you to all of her friends, past and present. Thank you to the entire Uber community/family. She is also survived by her cats, Rebel and Kiwi. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 27th at 1:00 pm at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris St NE, Albuquerque, NM, please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your charity of choice or www.gofundme.com/delilahs-future-fund.
