Jessica Valentine Lewis

Jessica Valentine Lewis, loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend passed away at home in Parker, Colorado surrounded by family on October 9, 2021. Jessica was born on February 20, 1975 in Rochester, New York to parents Wayne Rogers and Judy Haslett. It was clear from the beginning that Jessica had a heart of gold, and she spent her life showing just that. She graduated with her Bachelors from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania followed by a Master of Health Education from Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. Jessica was previously a teacher at the Douglas County School District for Acres Green Elementary and a Personal Trainer for the Parker Rec Center and FIT4MOM. She extended her gift to online classes as well. But her favorite “job” was being a full time mother. She was an avid runner, hiker, gardener, crafter and artist. If you were lucky you got her gingerbread, Irish Crème, jams or garden produce as gifts. She also made time for her friends by organizing hikes and playdates, summer parties and holiday get-togethers. Her favorite place was at home with her best friend (husband) and her boys. Jessica is survived by her adoring husband, Stephen E. Lewis, whom she wed on July 24, 2004 in Williamson, New York, sons, Silas B. Lewis and Augustus A. Lewis, and parents Judy Haslett of Parker, Colorado and Wayne Rogers (Gina Amorese) of Williamson and Greece, New York. Left to cherish her memory are also her brothers, Zachary Rogers of Williamson, New York, Mitchell Rogers of Webster, New York, and brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Leah (Jozen) Schaefer of Livermore, California. In addition, grandmother Helen (Brandt) Chatterton of Rochester, New York and many aunts, uncles, cousins, 3 nieces and 2 nephews are left to remember Jessica and her light. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Doris (Browne) Haslett and Thomas Chatterton.
