Jesus "Fern" Fernando Jimenez

Jesus Fernando "Fern" Jimenez lost this round with pancreatic cancer. We call it a round because he would never admit defeat. He loved spending time with his 4 children especially when it came to watching his girls play softball. He was a selfless man who wouldn't hesitate to drive over and help a friend in need. Although he will be missed dearly, we must put aside our own emotions and be happy for him for he is with his earthly father, and Heavenly Father once again. Philippians 2:3-4 states "3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others." Those who had the honor of meeting Fernando know that this verse is an embodiment of his life. We all can learn something from a man like this. This loss will be hard for all of us. We must not focus on our loss but rather his gain. For his gain is eternal life and ours is merely a temporary loss. If we're honest with ourselves we realize it's not death that we fear it's those we leave behind. In Fernando's case he lived his life in service to his family and friends, leaving enough love and memories for those he left behind to last a lifetime. So, let us honor him and celebrate his gift of eternal life. Until we all meet again. Fern you are gone but never forgotten. Fernando is preceded in death by his father Jesus Jimenez. Fernando is survived by wife Angelique Jimenez; Daughters Yaslene and Vianey; Sons Fernando and Christian; Mother Guadalupe Jimenez; Brother Guillermo and family; Twin brother Xavier and family; Brother Adrian and family; Sister Janette and family; And several aunts, uncles and cousins.
