Jesus Antonio Paz

November 15th, 1945 - December 13th, 2017

Jesus Antonio Paz, 72, of Caldwell, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017 at the home of his daughter. He was born on November 15th, 1945 to Jesus and Andrea (Moreno) Paz in General Terán, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Jesus, also referred to as “Chuy” by his friends and family will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving father, a caring brother and loyal friend to many. Jesus cultivated the gift of playing the accordion and singing at a young age. His music in the Norteño genre blessed the lives of many, often in their own time of mourning. As a longtime Idaho resident, he established himself as an entrepreneur and supported the Latino community through his many ventures. Jesus is survived by his children, Marisela (Celestino), Jose Luis (Patricia), Jesus Jr., Esmeralda (Yesid), Veronica (AJ) and Isaias (Megan). He will be remembered by his 11 grandchildren, Vanessa, CJ, Melissa, Mercedes, Marissa, Melina, Jonathan, Jacqueline, Gabriel, Savannah and Aaron, by his sisters Estela and Angelica and his brothers, Roméo, Ruben and Reginaldo along with many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Andrea Paz, brothers Raul and Efraín Paz and sister, Evíla. Celebration Service will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Valley Church, 2900 Life Way, Caldwell, ID 83605 with burial to follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. The family would like to thank the staff of St Luke’s MSTI in Nampa, Multicare Home Health, The Karlfeldt Center and St Luke’s Hospice for their care given to Jesus. My most deepest and sincerest condolences to the family of a brother in Christ who came to play at my church and I helped him by playing bajo sexto with him. God has taken a friend of many of us in the music industry and will be remembered as a friend. God bless you all and I see he graduated before we did.
