Jewel Dean Lipham

Mrs. Jewel Dean Lipham, age 91, a resident of Auburndale went home to be the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at The Club at Lake Gibson in Lakeland surrounded by family. Mrs. Lipham was born April 6, 1933 in Wayne County, Tennessee to Noah Joel and Willie Cordelia (Vicory) Handley. She was a Polk County resident since 1935 coming from Tennessee and a homemaker. Jewel was a Pastor’s wife and member of the Miracle Tabernacle of Praise Church in Auburndale. She was active in all aspects of the church, from cooking, cleaning, VBS and Sunday school. She enjoyed praising the Lord, reading, cleaning and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years – Bishop John Robert Lipham (2017), only child daughter – Patricia Dianne Lovelady (1996), 2 brothers – Nolan Handley & Bill Handley. Jewel is survived by her loving & devoted family, sister – Frances (Leon) Yates, Sr.; granddaughter – Trish (Pastor Doug) Fields; 2 grandsons – John (Catrina) Lovelady & James (Nicole) Lovelady; 8 great grandchildren – Shane (Maddie), John (Landra), Julia (Stephen), Emma, Abigail, Erin, Samuel & Jacob; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & friends. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, May 3rd at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
