Jill Stenzler- Engelman

Jill Karen Stenzler-Engelman, 53 years old of Seminole, FL. On December 31, 2014, Jill lost her 10 year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Jill had a heart of gold, a zest for life and a love for travel. She was born to Francine and Mort Stenzler on November 7, 1961. She grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and attended the University of Florida where she graduated with honors from the nursing school. There, Jill fell in love and met her soul mate, Greg Engelman, a fellow Gator. They were married for 28 extraordinary years. They have two beautiful daughters, Leigh and Aimee. Jill was an educator for Hadassah's Breast Cancer Awareness Program, which she brought to this area with Sophie Friedlander. Her passion was to teach and share her wealth of knowledge. Jill is survived by her husband, Dr. Greg Engelman and their two daughters, Leigh and Aimee. She is also survived by her father, Mort Stenzler; sisters- Cindy (Alan) Weisser, Robin (Jimmy) Post; mother-in-law - Marcia Engelman; sisters-in-law - Elana (Lee) Perdeck, Lisa (Stephen) Levine; nieces and nephews -Kevin, Carly, Lindsey, Danny, Elana, Traci, Jackson, Carter; and countless other friends she considered family. Family was the most important thing in the world to her. We are comforted knowing that she is now reunited with her mom Francine and her father-in-law Asheri. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Congregation B'nai Israel, 300 58th Street North, St. Petersburg. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Largo. Donations in Jill's memory would be appreciated to Hadassah. The family will observe Shiva at the Engelman residence beginning Friday afternoon after the burial service, Saturday evening after Shabbat ends, Sunday Shiva minyan at 6:30 PM, and Monday Shiva minyan at 6:30 PM. .....Never, Never, Never Give Up - Jill Stenzler-Engelman lived by these words and was a true warrior.
