Jim Dames
October 15th, 1945 - June 27th, 2012
Jim Eugene Dames, Sr., passed away suddenly of natural causes on June 27, 2012. He was born on October 15, 1945 in Pacific Grove, CA. He was a painter by trade for over 40 years. He is survived by by his beloved wife of 46 years and best friend, Linda Dames; his four loving sons, Jim Dames, Jr., Greg Dames, Sr., Michael Dames and Christopher Dames. He is also survived by his siblings,, Willard Dames, Ida Dames, Rosemarie Dames, Billy Dames and Pearl Dames; his daughter-in-law, Melina Dames; his cherished grandchildren, Greg Dames, Jr. , Alexandria Dames, Andrew Dames, Tristan Dames, Christian Dames and Sky Dames; his great-grandchildren, Destiny Dames and Liam Dames; his many nieces and nephews, and his two dog companions, " Max and Lily". Jim will be missed deeply by his family and many friends. "We love you and may you rest in peace." Memorial Services will be held at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel 12 noon on July 6, 2012 18200 Damian Way Salinas CA 93907. Inurnment to follow services.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
