Jimmie Foster, 91, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, May 29, 2020. Raised in Sharon, SC she was the daughter of the late James Snyder Stephenson and late Ida Marie Stephenson. She moved to Charlotte and attended Kings College where she studied office administration. She met and later married John William “Bill” Foster, with whom she spent 61 loving years until his passing in 2009. She was a homemaker and once her children were grown, worked for Pitney Bowes and retired after 22 years. Together, Jimmie and Bill enjoyed gardening, family canasta games, and spending time with their two children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Jimmie also enjoyed sewing, reading, word puzzles, and her beloved chihuahua, Lola. She was known for her beautiful smile, great hugs, and warm spirit. Survivors include son John Randolph Foster and wife, Sue, of Charlotte, NC; daughter Barbara Foster Davis, of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters Heather Elaine Foster, and wife, Angie, of Morganton, NC, Angela Denise Foster, and wife, Amy, of Frederick, MD and Dana Marie Berkovics, of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Dirk Alexander Davis, and husband, Saulo, of Carrboro, NC and William Randolph Davis, of Greensboro, NC; granddaughter Loren Davis Svendsen, and husband, Paul, of Belmont, NC; great-grandsons, Corbin James Berkovics, Connor Alexander Berkovics, and Seth McKinley Foster; great-granddaughter, Rylie Jo Foster; and great-grandson, Trevor Otto Foster. Jimmie was preceded in death by her three sisters, Aileen E. Dumas, Eva Mae Rhodes, and Ruby Lee Bailes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral Services are private.
