Jimmy Leroy Bradley
September 1st, 1940 - March 15th, 2015
Jimmy Leroy Bradley, 74, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his home. He was a beloved dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Jim proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at several bases in the United States and also in Germany. Jim was a hard worker. He was a self-taught expert in many areas of construction and concrete work serving as foreman and superintendent at Little Construction and Rentenbach & Wright. He and his son, Jay, owned/operated Bradley's Concrete Services for 20 years. Jim was multi-talented. He loved to cook and work with his hands. He also wrote beautiful poems and songs. He was very passionate about racing and building race cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Mary Bradley; brothers, Frank Bradley and Fred Bradley; also preceding him in death was Peggy Bradley, the mother of his children. Jim is survived by his sons, Alan Jay Bradley and wife Ann and Kenneth Lee Bradley and wife Kim; grandchildren, Nikki Wells and husband Daniel, Josh Bradley and fiancé Amanda Miller, Ethan and Gracie Good; great grandchildren, Easton and Anna Beth Wells and Jayton Bradley; sisters, June Adams, Midge Falin and husband Larry; brother, Rev. Dan Bradley and wife Brenda; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends; special friend, Sharon Byington. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Gibson and Rev. Dan Bradley officiating. A military graveside service will be held at 10:45 am on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 3 and Hammond Post 265. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:35 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Bradley family.
