Jimmy Mason Brock, 81, died April 21, 2015. He was born May 12, 1933 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Doster and Clyde Brock. He served his country in the US Air force in Germany. Jim retired from the city of Charlotte in 2000. He enjoyed baseball, gardening, cooking and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Faires Brock, a daughter Starr Brock Carpenter and her husband Mitch Carpenter; granddaughter, Tiffany Carpenter; grandson, Taylor Carpenter and partner Tracey Pitocchelli; great grandson, Mitchell Bleu Carpenter; siblings, Doster Brock Jr., Hilda Royall, Bobby and Shirley Brock; special daughter, Pam Blount Hope; and the Stover family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Aldrich officiating, 7407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28217. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in Jimmy's name, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
