November 12th, 1934 - March 21st, 2011
Jim D. Fisher Mr. Fisher, 76 of Charlotte, NC passed away on March 21, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital. A native of Asheville, NC he resided in Charlotte for the past 46 years. He was a member of Dilworth United Methodist Church. He was the fifth son of the late Roy Fisher and Ruth Fisher Landis. He is survived by his loving wife Jan Fisher of the home; Dawn Swayngim, and her husband Billy; beloved grandchildren, Emily Brown and husband David and Rachel Swayngim, all of Charlotte. In addition he was also blessed with three great- grandchildren, Tatum, Jade and Christian Brown. He was preceded in death by his two beloved daughters; Debbie Fisher and Deena Babington and by four brothers Willard, Clyde, Roy Jr. and Richard. Mr. Fisher was in food sales all his life and very much enjoyed his work, just recently retiring. He loved traveling as a salesman and meeting new people, never meeting a stranger. His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service to celebrate Jim?s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
