Jimmy Leroy Langdon A memorial service will be held at the Harrisburg Christian Church on June 21st at 2pm. Jimmy Langdon passed away June 10th 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 31st 1941 to Hattie and Wilbur Langdon in Harrisburg, Oregon. Siblings include brother George and sisters Evelin, Nancy, and Karen. Living in Harrisburg since birth, Jim was a Harrisburg Graduate and married Sylvia Elder on Feb. 24th 1963. Together, with help from his family they built Langdon Farms, Langdon Implement Co. and Langdon Fabrication and Repair shop. Jim got his Dr. of Motors certification and worked tirelessly to make the family business successful. If there was work to be done, you could find Jim doing it right up to the end. Jim was a kind and patient man who was liked by everyone. He shared his extensive knowledge of farming, mechanics, repair, fabrication and straightforward common sense with his family, friends and even strangers freely. He was not a judgmental person and could truly see the best in everyone and everything. He loved the outdoors and if farm work allowed you could find him hunting, fishing, hiking and camping in some of Oregon’s most remote locations. Jim is survived by his wife Sue, sons John and Tony and daughter Cathy. Grandkids Faith, Haley, Riley, Jack, Tannor, Wyatt, and a community of co-workers, Farmers and Friends.
