Jo Ann Ellison
August 1st, 1937 - September 1st, 2022
Jo Ann Ellison passed away on September 1, 2022 at the age of 85. She passed quietly and peacefully, surrounded by her children, in her home in Topock, Arizona. Jo was born August 1, 1937 in San Bernardino, California, the eldest of three girls. She was an energetic woman who could never sit still for long. She worked as a nurse's aide, a high school librarian, a realtor, and a waitress. In her later years she and her husband, Ike, loved to travel all over the country, and explore Mexico in their motorhome. She was also very creative. She loved to paint, sew, build, and was the author of two books. Even at the age of 85 she just had to go outside and work in her yard until she could no longer physically do so. Jo was the much loved mother of five children, ten grandchildren, and an ever growing number of great grandchildren. She is survived by three of her children, Kathleen, Tammy, and Tommy, and predeceased by two of her children, Ronald and Penny, and both of her sisters, Ruth and Rita. She is also predeceased by the love of her life and best friend, her husband Frank ‘Ike' Ellison. Mom, we love you and will miss you always. We are comforted by the knowledge that you are, at long last, back in Ike's arms.
