Jo Ann Myers

Jo Ann Myers, 83, of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully Sunday November 1, 2015 at E. L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility surrounded by her loving family. Born March 5, 1932 in Edgeley, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Harry James and Winifred Davis Philbrook. Jo Ann moved to the area as a young child; and graduated from Fultonville High School. Jo Ann married her late husband Gerald Myers on July 4, 1958 and shared 44 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker who loved being able to care of her family. Jo Ann would often be found reading books, doing puzzles or making beautiful ceramics. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her loving family; sons, Robert Myers (Lori) and Michael Myers (Patty); daughters, Lynn Richardson (John) and Mary Jo Van Luipen (Brad); grandchildren, Amy Boehlke, Timothy Richardson (Kim), Jason Van Luipen, Alex Van Luipen, Ryan Myers, Sean Myers, Megan Myers, Tyler Myers and Kevin Myers; great-grandchildren, Ethan Richardson, Tanner Boehlke and Taylor Boehlke. Besides her parents and loving husband, Jo Ann is predeceased by her brother, Harold Philbrook. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday November 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville. Burial will follow at Maple Ave Cemetery, Fultonville. Calling hours to which family and friends may attend will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
