Jo Anne “Jody” Pendergast
Jo Anne “Jody” Pendergast passed away of cancer on June 30, 2024, in Olympia, Washington, her home of 24 years. She was born November 17, 1942, to Bertha Caroline Winslow-Horner and Richard Horner in Eugene, Oregon, where she lived until 1999.
Jody graduated from Eugene’s Marist High School and worked as a legal secretary. She married William Pendergast on July 1, 2000, in Olympia. She was loving, full of sunshine, vivacious and spunky. She loved spending time with family, cheering on the Seattle Seahawks, gardening, and meeting new friends at the casino.
She is survived by her husband, William Pendergast; sons, Kevin Widmer (Alissa), Shawn Pendergast (Terrie) and Robert Pendergast (Jerilyn); daughter, Theresa Griffin (Gary); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John Perry and Robert Horner; and sister, Lisas Lionberger. Her parents predeceased her.
There will be a private family gathering. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at DAV : Disabled American Veterans or to Wolf Haven International at Wolf Haven International – Sanctuary. Education. Conservation
