Acker, Joan P., 52, of St. Petersburg, died Friday March 17, 2000 at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, she came here in 1988 from Dunnellon, FL. She was a catholic. She worked as a file clerk for St. Petersburg Suncoast Medical Clinic for 11years. She is survived by a son, Zen Acker, St. Petersburg, her mother Julia M. Karcher, St. Petersburg; two brothers, James F. Karcher, Monroe, CT and Carlton W. Karcher, Lake Luzerne, NY: several nieces and nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
