Joan Gill, aged 88, of Zolfo Springs, passed away peacefully August 11, 2024. Joan was a beloved mother to Bruce Gill (Sharon), Norman Gill (Ceci), and Monica Stevenson (Mark). She cherished her role as grandmother to Karen Jordan (Josh), Valari Johnson (Greg), Kaylyn Stevenson, Jarrett Stevenson, Matthew Gill, Nicholas Gill, and Christopher Gill, and took great joy in her great-grandchildren Alexis Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Wesley Johnson, and Mateo Gill. She adored her little dog, Millie. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bob Gill.

Joan enjoyed the time she spent meeting new people and traveling with her husband in their motor home. Together, they were active members of the South Florida Winnie Gators (also known as The Rowdy Bunch), where they built lasting friendships and made many memories. Joan was a member of the Florida Ladies of Elks, where she eagerly supported their initiatives and took part in their activities.

A celebration of Joan’s life is scheduled for Sunday, September 1st, from 2 pm – 4 pm at the Pavilion Building in Pioneer Park, Zolfo Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services, an organization close to Joan's heart. Joan's kindheartedness and dedication to her family and community will be missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
