Joan Marie Goodwin

In the wee hours of March 15, Joan Marie Goodwin decided to head to a warmer destination - that would be heaven, not Hell or Hawaii - guided by God after a long illness. In her final moments, she was surrounded by loved ones praying for her safe journey at Saint Anthony's hospital in Gig Harbor, WA. You never could convince her that her purse - with the capacity of a large grocery cart - was simply too big. In her eyes, she wanted to be prepared for absolutely everything, at all times. She loved to watch documentaries, read celebrity gossip magazines and talk to her loved ones. She will be remembered as a stubborn yet kind woman, who loved her family more than anything, and was generous to a fault. Joan is survived by her children Andrea, Brian, Greg and Jason her siblings and numerous other loved ones. A celebration of life memorial will be held at Sunset Bible Church: 7909 40th St W, University Place WA @ 11 AM on March 25, 2017.
