Joan played the piano at Tumwater First Baptist Church for many years. She also directed the choir and special music programs and sang during church services. In addition, Joan taught piano to students. Joan loved spending time with her family. Vacations and family events were priorities in her life. Joan devoted much of her life to serving the Lord. This was evident through her music ministry and mission trip to the country of Romania.
