Joan (Butcher) King, age 90 passed away peacefully at home May 18, 2017 surrounded by family. Born in Queens, NY, married the love of her life in 1946 and relocated wherever military life moved them. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Irven R. King, son Richard King, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Joan is survived by 8 children, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and 3 sisters. Funeral Service will be May 23 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Charlotte, NC.
