Joan Krausman

Joan Grace Krausman, age 83, passed away on Friday, October 12th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. There were no strangers in her life. Her kind and generous nature welcomed all who crossed her path. She was sincerely interested in and supportive of the well-being of everyone in her world. She was loved by many friends, family and any lucky animal, large or small who happened to come into her life. Joanie was a Colorado native, growing up in Golden, then lived several years in Denver, and then 40 years on “The Ranch” in Conifer. She worked for many businesses and individuals over the years using her bookkeeping skills and friendly personality. She was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her life was inspired by music in every form, from singing and dancing to enjoying wonderful performances. She was an avid walker and deeply loved to enjoy the diverse beauty of nature. She valued her faith and was a very active and supportive member of her church community. She loved life and life loved her back. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Hank Krausman, her children, Christine, Dave, Sharon, Holly, Kevin, Karl and his wife Donna. She had many precious grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by her brothers Paul, Mike and Fritz Meyer. She was preceded in death by son Kent. Rest in peace sweet wife, mother, gram, sister, aunt and dear friend. We will miss your gentle and kind presence. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Laurence Episcopal Church in the beautiful mountains of Conifer on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
