"Joann F. (Desrosiers) Boudreau, 74, of Squire St. passed away April 9, 2009 at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. Born August 8, 1934 in Palmer, MA, she was the daughter of Beatrice (Dewey) Desrosiers of Palmer and the late Leo Desrosiers. Joann was a lifelong resident of Palmer and a communicant of St. Thomas Church. She worked in direct care at Monson Developmental Center for many years. Joann was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1972 and will be missed by her mother Beatrice along with her children; Leo and his wife Barbara of Monson, Deborah and her companion Mike of Three Rivers, Annette Haley and her husband Jim of Bondsville, Darlene Boudreau of Palmer, Penny Przybycien and her husband Stephen of Three Rivers, as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Joann was also predeceased by two children, Norman in 1980 and Brian in 1965. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home Tuesday April 14 at 9:00 a.m. to process to St. Thomas Church for a 10:00 am Liturgy of Christian burial. Burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday April 13 from 5-8 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte. 20).
