JoAnn Stamper Hall

JoAnn Stamper Hall, 90, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 27, 2023. A native of Statesville, NC, JoAnn was the wife of the late Harvey Hall and the daughter of Fred William Stamper and Laura Lucille Stikeleather Stamper, both deceased. After moving to Salisbury, NC she began a career at the very first Food Lion store in Salisbury which, at the time, was called Food Town. She went on to work for other grocers as well and later moved to King, NC after marrying her late husband, Harvey. She enjoyed traveling the country with Harvey who served as State Commander of the American Legion. When she retired, her family and friends were where her heart was until the end. JoAnn recently celebrated her 90th birthday in July. Survivors include her son, Steve F. Myers and wife, Ginger; granddaughter, Casie M. Ridenhour and partner, Scotty Puckett; brother, Robert Stamper and wife, Sharon; nephew, Chadwick Stamper and wife, Tara; great niece, Addie Stamper; and great nephews, Landon Stamper, Gavin Teague and wife, Kelly, Grayson Teague, and Garrett Teague. In addition to her husband and parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her niece, Tracey Teague and her loving dogs, Nikki, and Millie. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, Rural Hall, NC. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
