Obituary My Dad's beautiful, absolutely, wonderful Wife of has left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior. As her daughter Suzann Helenberg, Dad and I watched her slowly pass away from a agonizing disease called cancer. We had prayed too the Lord with earnest take her home or heal her. Mom got the best gift all she went home to be with Jesus. Charles Helenberg is my Mom's husband for 54 years! He misses her so much. She was truly his best friend as well as his wife. My Mom was the most beautiful person I have even known she was my everything. Amazing how much happens in long marriage. Periods of time good or bad my parents had a ball and loved each other dearly. Now it's just my Daddy and I. I believe that God may have taken my best friend, yet left me with the wonderful Dad I am so blessed to have who I can proudly say is as good a best friend as my beautiful Mom was for so many years. Daddy and I have so many incredible memories of Moments with Mom and all the things we did, the things she taught me things I could not ever thank her enough for. Dad and I are so very much going to miss her she was stitch that held the family together and now we have to find our own by taking the Lord's hand through a grief that is beyond words. JoAnn Lisette Helenberg, born in Omaha, NE. March 23, 1933 has been in Colorado Springs, CO since the 1950's. Worked as a book keeper and housewife. Passed away on May 1, 2017 at 9:59 A.M at Penrose Main Hospital after a 6 month battle with Lung and Lymphatic cancer. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Charles A Helenberg in a marriage spanning 54 years. Her daughter Suzann L. Helenberg, her younger brother Paul L Helenberg, Granddaughter Rebecca Belle Helenberg. JoAnn's younger brothers Ron and wife Mary Raecker, John Raecker, Nephew Scott Raecker and family, Nephew Jeff Raecker and Family and Nephew Doug Raecker. JoAnn wife and Mom will be missed with the utmost intensity! Dad and I love you and miss you Mom😢 and we always will. Services Services are to be announced
