Joanne Marilyn Kimball
April 28th, 1929 - June 5th, 2016
87 years old of Bothell, WA, passed away on June 6, 2016 following complications from a stroke. Joanne was born 4/28/1929 to Edna and Grove Voreis in Richmond Beach, WA. class=apple-converted-space She graduated from Edmonds High School and went on to attend Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She married Max Howlett of Edmonds in 1951 and moved to Akron, OH. She also lived in St Marys and Van Wert, OH, Birmingham and Northville, MI. Joanne was passionate about nursing and worked as a nurse at Goodyear Tire, Wm class=apple-converted-space Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI, as a private nurse, and with Hospice of Southeast Michigan and Hospice of Kona, Hawaii. She married Basil Cap Kimball in 1990 and lived and thrived in Kailua-Kona, HI for class=apple-converted-space over 25 years. class=apple-converted-space She loved swimming in the ocean, outrigger canoe paddling, hiking, and gardening. class=apple-converted-space Her hobby was Hawaiian style quilting and she created many beautiful pieces. class=apple-converted-space She moved to Bothell in 2008 following the death of Cap and lived at the Chateau of Bothell Landing. Joanne was fun loving and adventurous, with many friends throughout Washington, Michigan, and Hawaii. class=apple-converted-space She was caring and compassionate and outgoing. Joanne is survived by the father of her children, Max Howlett, her children, Douglas Howlett and Patrice Tabor of Shoreline, WA, Sharon Dixon of Clawson, MI, and Michael class=apple-converted-space and Joyce Howlett of Troy, MI, Caps children and grandchildren, Mick and Jessica Sandhu, Joshua Dixon, Aaron and Chad Redmond, Dane and Ryan Howlett, and great grandchildren Rajan and Rohan.
