Joanne Scott, age 87, of Seminole, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2017. She was born May 26, 1929, in Macon, Georgia, daughter of the late Nina Stecher. After leaving Macon as a young girl she moved with her family to Miami, Florida where she spent 30 years raising a family. She relocated to St. Petersburg in 1983 where she spent the remaining years of her life. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, George Scott, her children: Daughter Janice Stencel and husband Jerry; her son Gilbert LeDuce; daughter Debra Russell and husband Russ; her brother Duke Ellington and wife Claire, 2 nieces, and four grandchildren; Brian, Todd, Heather and Jay. She was a loving Mother, Wife and Grandmother. Anyone who knew her loved her liveliness and friendship. Family and friends were the core of her life. She will be missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Seminole Lakes Country Club on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
