Jodene "Jo" Belt

Jodene “Jo” Belt, 76, of Ontario, Oregon, passed away at home of natural causes on Monday, April 4, 2016. At her request, private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Jo was born to Carl A. and Barbara (Pixton) Hogge on May, 7, 1939 in Burley, Idaho. She graduated from Nampa High School and attended one year of business school in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked as a tax preparer, loan officer and owned and managed housing units with her husband. She married James “Jim” Belt on March 24, 1958, in Seattle. They lived in Melba, Kuna, Boise and Lewiston, Idaho and later in Burns and Ontario, Oregon. They had 4 children: Carol, Linda, Lisa, and Ron. Jo enjoyed camping, sewing and cooking. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, two brothers; Hal and Carl Hogge, an infant daughter; Carol Jane and one special nephew: Corky Williams. She is survived by her children: Linda (Bill) Root, Lisa (Ron) Seebart, Ron (Deanne) Belt, grandchildren: Vanessa Root, Joseph (Tabetha) Seebart, Cassidy, Caleb and Kyle Seebart, Makaela (Alex) Miller, Tyler Belt and Allison LaMotte, great grandchildren: Kyla, Jeshua, and Luke Seebart, Madelyn, Zoe and Sophie Miller and a special niece Margie Widger. A special “Thank You” to close family friends: Jan Nigro, Sue Eaton and John and Jeanne Bennett, and to the caring staff at Heart ‘n Home Hospice, especially her nurses; Cindy and Cheryl. The family suggests memorials be made to Heart N Home Hospice, C/O Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, ID 83605. Service Information
