Jodi Lynn Pemberton, 53, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Jodi was born in Salinas, California, on June 23, 1969. She was a 1988 graduate of North Salinas High School. Jodi was beautiful, kind, warmhearted, and generous. She had a zest for life, whether it was dancing, telling stories like only she could, or sharing fond memories. Jodi was happiest with her cats and chickens outdoors or in the kitchen baking, as she was a fantastic cook. She spent hours writing beautiful poetry. Her quick wit was legendary. The slightest hint of a lull in conversation was quickly filled with side-splitting laughter from a Jodi-isms. Jodi is survived by her parents, Michael & Dieanna Pemberton, daughter Tess Marek, sisters Stephanie Ligon and Michael-D Pemberton, brothers Johnny Dusek & Donald Cooper, and her cat Whitey. She is preceded in death by her biological mother, Joann McClure. She will be greatly missed by her best friend, Amy Parker. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, at 11am at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N Sanborn Rd, Salinas CA.
