Joseph Raymond Bell, Jr., fondly known as "Joe Bell," passed away quietly in his sleep the morning of December 29, 2017 at his home in St. Petersburg. He was born on March 15, 1945 to the late J. Raymond Bell and Virginia French Bell in Washington, DC. He is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Medeiros and Sara Bell Pasquini (Nick) both of Virginia; his sisters, Bonnie Bell Sauve of Florida and Melodie Bell Ryan of New York; his grandchildren, Morgan and Max Medeiros and Sophia and Enzo Pasquini. He is also survived by his companion, Jackie King. I addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bell Johnston. Joe Bell attended New York Military Academy for a short time and graduated from Pelham Memorial High in 1963. Then he attended the University of Maryland where he studied business. He later became an account executive with a Washington, DC radio station. He was promoted to senior account executive and moved his family to Syracuse, New York. From New York he moved to Florida where he not only worked as an account executive, he had his own radio show during the football season where he would handicap the games. Joe's expertise in the advertising industry led to his branching out to form his own advertising company. Joe would perform in his own TV commercials he produced for his clients. Talk about diversity! Joe was a people person and needed to be out wining and dining his customers and even inviting them to his own home. After the radio station was sold and Joe was given a desk job where the new boss could keep track of him, Joe quit. He continued his own advertising company, sold real estate and mortgage loans. Joe was a true, successful entrepreneur.
